BLENDING   


Cognac released to market must comply with strict rules

  • Wine spirits for direct human consumption are aged in wooden receptacles for at least two years in the region of production ;
  • Minimum alcohol content: 40% abv. ;
  • Addition of alcohol is prohibited (as opposed to brandy) ;
  • Respect of traditional production methods (in addition to vinification and distillation methods) as set down in the specifications for the AOC Cognac.
